NCAA Division I Athletics Fund
The Western Athletic Conference asked Tarleton State University to join on September 30, 2019 and the Tarleton Texans intend to become the 11th member institution of the conference. The invitation is contingent on Tarleton completing the four-year reclassification process from NCAA Division II. The Texans will begin WAC regular-season competition during the 2020-21 school year and be eligible for NCAA Division I postseason play beginning with the 2024-25 season. Being in Division I means bigger names for competition and bigger venues for potential success, and it will give Tarleton a more recognizable national profile. Your gift to the NCAA Division I Athletics Fund provides student-athletes with the resources they need to be nationally competitive, both in and out of the classroom. Each of our priorities are strategically aligned to create a world-class experience for more than 350 student-athletes representing 15 sport programs.
