Student Engagement and Success

The Division of Student Engagement and Success at Tarleton State University works to create a robust co-curricular experience for our students by developing out-of-classroom programs that enhance student learning. We also pride ourselves on the services we provide that truly make Tarleton a home away from home.

Student Prevention, Wellness, and Safety

At Tarleton, every student is a part of our Texan Family and we take care of family. Your gift will help support student wellbeing. This is a discretionary fund that supports equipment, supplies and student experiences through Counseling Services, Health Services, substance abuse prevention efforts, violence prevention efforts, bystander training, safety and security initiatives.

Student Resources and Emergency Funding

Sometimes students need a little extra help with resources, basic and emergency needs so they can remain focused on their academics. This is a discretionary fund that purchases food, hygiene, academic and essential supplies and is also used to provide financial support for student emergency needs. Examples include; evictions, natural disasters, and changes in circumstances.

Student Connection & Engagement

Students' experiences at college aren't confined to the classroom. Student activities promote creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, leadership, communication, collaboration and adaptability – the soft skills that make our graduates great employees and community members. Your gift will help support an activity that enhances the college experience. This is a discretionary fund to purchase equipment, supplies and student experiences through student organizations, student events and activities. Examples include; Homecoming week, Welcome week, and Founder’s week.

Student Life Circle

Gifts to the Student Life Circle are used at the discretion of the Vice President for Student Affairs for scholarships, programs and other initiatives that have funding gaps. Your gift to the Student Life Circle will be used to support student-focused opportunities.

Tarleton State Rodeo

Tarleton's renowned rodeo program is known for having some of the toughest and most talented student competitors among National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association members. Tarleton State University's Rodeo Team has been part of a winning tradition since 1947. Tarleton teams have won numerous team national championship titles as well as many individual national championships. Today Tarleton has one of the largest teams in the nation with more than 100 card holding student members. Gifts to the Rodeo Team are used at the discretion of the Director of Rodeo Activities and Head Coach for team travel, supplies, equipment, facility upgrades and unbudgeted opportunities.
