Tarleton Radio studios serves as living labs for broadcasting students and offer hands-on, real-world work experiences through paid internships that are available for students interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting and the communications industry.
KTRL 90.5 FM
KTRL 90.5 reaches 10 counties in the Cross Timbers area, offering a unique mix of music, news, talk, and local programming. Listeners enjoy flagship NPR programs such as Morning Edition and All Things Considered. In addition, shows like Big Band Ballroom, Beatles & Beyond, Essential Jazz, Random Tracks, 377 Carnivàle, and Standards, Jazz & The Blues are produced and hosted by local volunteer disc jockeys with a passion for music.
KTRL is also the official radio broadcaster of Tarleton Texan sports!
KXTR 100.7 LPFM
KXTR 100.7, “The Plant,” is Tarleton’s student-produced and -hosted radio station, offering listeners in Stephenville and Erath County a mix of rock and hip-hop programming that is not otherwise available in the local area. KXTR is the official voice of Tarleton students and also provides information on community events, social services, on-campus events, educational resources, and more.
