Tarleton Promise Program
The Tarleton Promise Program makes college accessible to the neediest of our best and brightest students. Being accepted to the college of your choice can be an affirming and fulfilling experience for students who've worked hard to prepare themselves for college. But for many students what is most important is some assurance that the cost of attending college will not result in a hardship for themselves or their families for years to come.
Each fall about 150 of Tarleton's neediest, top-ranked freshmen commit to their educational dream. While support is available from federal and state financial aid programs, as well as from university and private scholarships, many of our neediest students still fall short of full payment with room and board often remaining unfunded.
The Tarleton Promise Program represents Tarleton's assurance to these students that their hard work has not been in vain, allowing the neediest of our best and brightest students the opportunity to complete their education with little to no debt. These future leaders will be able to contribute to a strong Texas economy, to look forward to building their future without having to worry about resolving their past.
