Honors College

The Honors College admits academically outstanding students into a dynamic environment where they engage in specialized honors coursework and integrate into a vibrant community of learners. Here, students experience the best of both worlds: the advantages of a small liberal arts college as well as the benefits of a regional, comprehensive Division I University. Your contribution holds the power to make an immediate and tangible difference in the lives of today’s Honors College students as they embark on their transformative journey toward becoming the leaders of tomorrow.

The Honors College Dean’s Circle is a community of alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, united in their commitment to the advancement of over 850 Honors students at Tarleton State University. Through their annual leadership gifts, members of the Dean’s Circle play a pivotal role in providing support to our thriving community. Contributions to the Dean’s Circle address essential areas such as facilitating research endeavors, fostering cultural enrichment initiatives, and enabling student participation in professional development opportunities including conferences. Your involvement in the Dean’s Circle ensures that our Honors Students at Tarleton State University are equipped with the resources and opportunities necessary to realize their full potential.

The Honors College is committed to providing our students with the transformative opportunities offered by studying abroad. With your generous support of our Study Abroad Initiative, including our signature study abroad program in Urbino, Italy, you can offset expenses, enabling Honors students to embark on these life-changing journeys, Donors contributing $500 or more will have the special privilege of receiving correspondence directly from a student during their time abroad, allowing you to witness firsthand the impact of your generosity on their educational experience.

The long-term goal of the Honors College Alumni Scholarship is to award every Honors College student a scholarship. Created by Honors College alumni for current students, it will be given based on academic merit, initially to freshmen and eventually to all Honors students.
