School of Nursing

Nurses have always been integral to the health and well-being of our communities but, now more than ever, they play a major role in providing care and innovation that saves lives and reduces suffering. The School of Nursing boasts more than 1,000 students in a variety of programs. Our nursing students have a 90.9% pass rate on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensure (NCLEX) exams and are making a real impact on healthcare in Texas and around the world. The school's mission is to provide student-focused, academically, and clinically challenging programs that engage students in acquiring evidence-based, value-driven knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential for professional nursing careers, responsible citizenship, and leadership.

The BSN program is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing. The baccalaureate and master's degree programs in nursing at Tarleton State University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
